What Is Christmas?

On December 25th of each year, Christian celebrates the birth of the Jesus Christ. The Christmas story according to the Bible goes as follows: While traveling the countryside to fulfill a government order, Mary and Joseph entered the town of Bethlehem to find shelter. The inn they found had no rooms left so the innkeeper let them stay in the stable with the animals. After the birth of Christ, a star appeared over the stable symbolizing the birth of a king. This star led many people to the baby Jesus along with the Magi or Three Kings. They arrived carrying gifts for the baby Jesus.

History of Christmas

Christians have been celebrating Jesus' birth on December 25 since at least the early fourth century. The first evidence of its observance is in Rome in 336 AD. {1} The earliest Christians do not appear to have commemorated the nativity, but only the baptism and resurrection of Christ and the deaths of the martyrs.
In fact, some early Christians, most notably Origen of Alexandria {2}, strongly opposed the celebration of Christ's birth. Pointing out that only Pharaoh and Herod celebrate their birthdays in the Bible {3}, Origen argued that birthdays were for pagans, not Christians. Jehovah's Witnesses follow the same reasoning today in rejecting both Christmas and celebration of birthdays.

Setiap Detik

Sampai kapankah aku menantimu selalu menantiku

Setiap detik aku memikirkanmu. Setiap detik rindu meracuniku. Setiap detik teringatku padamu. Setiap detik apa terus begini.

Ku mohon dengarlah rintihan hati ini yang ku curahkan seraya ku bernyanyi. Sampai kapankah aku terus begini. Ku harap kau 'kan kembali kepadaku.

I Miss You Memeww.......
